THE CHICAGO TRIBUNE
ROLE: Designer/Editor
I became the Chicago Tribune's youngest Page One designer in Tribune history in July 2015. I was responsible for working well under pressure, enforcing daily deadlines, carrying out an expert layout, writing accurate headlines, choosing perfect photos, and leading the newsroom at night.
Prior to my role as the Page One Designer, I created both news, business and features pages for Chicago Tribune. I also helped carry out layouts to be used in other Tronc newspapers, such as the Baltimore Sun, Sun Sentinel (South Florida), Orlando Sentinel, Hartford Courant, The Morning Call and Daily Press.
I always pitched in on anything asked at the Tribune, including helping with display graphics and photos on ChicagoTribune.com. I won a Publisher's Award for the work on the website.
